Design Studies in Canada

As the country’s first and only peer-reviewed journal dedicated to the history, theory, pedagogy, and practice of design, Design Studies in Canada (DSC) takes an intentionally broad and inclusive approach by conceptualizing the field as comprehensive and critical. We invite original research papers and texts on a broad spectrum of topics – including graphic, industrial, and interior design, architecture, illustration, fashion, craft, and material culture – in ways that meaningfully engage with aspects of Canada’s social, cultural, and political landscapes. The journal endeavours to be a dynamic and rigorous platform for researchers, curators, and designers who wish to engage with and shape design studies in Canada.
